MARGAO
Goa Forward Chief and Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai on Tuesday criticised the slow pace of administration and asked Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to strictly implement the Time-Bound Delivery of Services to give citizens relief.
Speaking to the media after his weekly durbar at Goemkar Ghor, Sardesai said he receives many complaints about delays in government offices.
“When people say their files are stuck, we are forced to call officials to check the status. This shows that the Time-Bound Delivery rules, introduced by former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, are not being followed,” he said.
He urged the Chief Minister to take note of this lethargy and direct departments to follow the service delivery rules.
Residents of the Housing Board also told Sardesai that their power supply was cut because of road digging for a gas pipeline, which damaged their cables.
Separately, Sardesai said he is ready to help shift an old roadside cross to a nearby spot, assuring people that it will be relocated and rebuilt at his expense.
