Panaji: Goa is set to adopt technology-driven and sustainable waste management practices under SBM-U 2.0, Urban Development Minister Vishwajit Rane announced today.
Chairing a meeting with the Urban Development Department, Rane outlined key initiatives, including four-way garbage segregation across municipalities and digitisation of waste management through QR-code tracking. Training programmes for municipal workers will ensure efficient, accountable, and transparent implementation.
“In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a Garbage-Free India, we are committed to building sustainable and technology-driven waste management systems for Goa," Rane said, adding that these collective efforts are helping Goa steadily move towards becoming a model state in sustainable urban management and cleanliness.
