There may as yet be no clarity over the venue for 'Sunburn' this year but the promoters of the famed Electronic Dance Music (EDM) festival have already opened ticketing on major online booking sites including 'BookMyShow'.
The event, which in the past has been dogged by controversies including cases of unnatural deaths suspected to be caused by drug overdose, has already got the in-principle clearance from the State government.
The exact venue of the event is still not finalised, according to CEO of Sunburn, Karan Singh who however claims it will make a comeback in Goa after two years of pandemic related interruption.
Sunburn held its tenth edition in 2016, for the first time outside Goa in Pune. Two other editions (2017 and 2018) were also held in Pune before it made a comeback to Goa back to Vagator in 2019.
Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte has said that the organisers will be asked to dedicate one of the stages to Goan artistes and culture.
