PANAJI: The Goa Cabinet on Saturday approved shifting the water pumping station from Mirabag to Panchwadi, along with canal-line construction, to strengthen local water supply.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced the decision while addressing the media after the Cabinet meeting on Saturday.
The Cabinet had also approved Phase II of the Tourism Master Plan and Tourism Policy, an ordinance to regulate recruitment and service conditions under Goa-IDC, and seven regular posts at the Zonal Agriculture Office in Sanquelim. The Cabinet further cleared the transformation of Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Ltd. into a state-level Urban Development Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV).
Other approvals included a 50% concession on PWD-computed rent for existing shopkeepers shifting to newly constructed municipal commercial complexes and ex-post facto approval of Rs 2.62 crore for the inauguration function at Gokarna Partagali Jeevottam Math.
The Cabinet also approved amendments to the service conditions of Communidade employees to establish a statutory framework for recruitment and service regulations.
