A violent assault near Nagoa Circle in Bardez led to the arrest of one accused. A complaint was filed by 20-year-old Karan Gohel, a resident of Verla-Parra. In his complaint, Gohel alleged that on May 12 at around 3 pm, he and his friend were wrongfully restrained and attacked near Nagoa Circle by four persons identified as Ajay Pujar, Mubarrak Nadaf, Raj and Bishnu.
The accused allegedly abused the victims and assaulted them using fists and beer bottles. Gohel reportedly suffered injuries to his head and the back of his neck during the attack. He was later sent for medical examination, and the medical opinion on the nature of the injuries has been kept reserved.
Police have arrested one accused, identified as 19-year-old Ajay Ashok Pujar. He is currently staying in a rented room at Arpora and is originally from Karnataka.
Efforts are underway to trace and arrest the remaining accused. Anjuna Police are investigating the case further.
