The Anjuna police have arrested one Rajasthan native for allegedly illegally possessing Ganja.SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi informed that his team, based on reliable information, laid a trap to zero in on the alleged drug peddler. In the raid on the midnight of July 28, the accused identified as Sonaram Ghevar Ram, aged 41 years, was arrested.
"When he reached the spot to deliver drugs to a prospective customer, we apprehended him and he was found with the drugs. He was subsequently arrested," the officer said.
The seized drugs is worth Rs 1 lakh rupees.
An FIR under section 20(b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act has been registered.
