CANACONA
One person was injured while two others escaped unhurt as a rickshaw carrying catering equipment hit a road-divider and broke a street-lamp, before toppling on the Manohar Parrikar Canacona Bypass Road at Rajbhg-Tarir junction in Canacona on Wednesday.
The incident took place as a goods rickshaw with three occupants was proceeding from Karwar towards Margao after providing catering services.
On reaching at a turn at Rajbagh-Tarir junction, the rickshaw skidded off the road, hit the road-divider and street-lamp post, before toppling on the road.
All catering equipment, including crockery and cutlery items, were strewn on the road.
One of the three occupants suffered hand injuries and was shifted to the Community Health Centre, Canacona, while two others escaped without injuries in the mishap.
