A rider from Khandepar-Ponda was injured when he was struck by a car at Kundaim, while in a separate incident, three cars were damaged in a freak chain collision at Petke-Dharbandora.
In the first mishap, a Karnataka-registered car was proceeding from Panaji towards Mollem when it collided with an oncoming two-wheeler. The rider was seriously injured and was later shifted to the GMC hospital in Bambolim.
In the second incident, three cars were damaged in a freak chain collision at Petke-Dharbandora. There were no injuries reported in the incident. The accident occurred when the driver of the first car suddenly braked after something fell on the road. An SUV which was trailing behind rammed into the rear of the first car, while a third car rammed into the rear of the SUV. Ponda police conducted the panchanama.
