CANACONA
A 100-year-old voter and 35 young and first-time voters from Canacona were felicitated by taluka authorities on National Voter’s Day.
Before the official function at the Mamlatdar office, the administrative heads visited the house of Inacinha Fernandes (100) at Sheller and felicitated her in the presence of Sudesh Naik (Headmaster, Govt High School, Sadolxem), Bhaiju Aiyya (ITI Instructor) and Sanjay Gaonkar (ITI Instructor).
During the function, others honoured included Canacona Deputy Collector and SDM Satish Prabhu for receiving the best ERO State Award, Canacona Mamlatdar Vimod Dalal for the best AERO District Award and Laxman Mono Gaonkar (BLO) for the best BLO State Award.
In his address, Sudesh Naik advised the new and young voters to elect their representatives wisely as responsible citizens since their votes have much value and importance.
The Mamlatdar’s office also felicitated Sadhana Sawant and Constancio Pereira for being the best and quick response BLOs of Canacona, and Uday Naik and Charan Komarpant for their dedicated work towards the electoral work.
The 57 BLOs of Canacona taluka were also present at the occasion.
