In election season, every 'job' counts.
In an unusual practice, the Goa Human Resources Development Corporation (GHRDC) has advertised 104 positions with a flat pay packet, inclusive of PF and ESI benefits, of a meagre Rs 12,500 per month and a designation of 'mazdoor' (casual labour).
In the advertisement, GHRDC has announced that a Class VI pass is the minimum qualification required to apply for the posts.
Those interested are required to attend the walk-in-interview at the Copradem farm on December 15, at 10.30 am.
Usually, government departments engage such casual labour as and when the need arises on a daily wage basis.
The GHRDC, however, does not clarify whether the 'mazdoor' so employed will be entitled to any service benefits which other government employees get.
