11 booked for assault at Ponda

Ponda police has registered a case against 11 persons from Dharbandora on charges of assaulting a senior citizen.

Siddesh Datta Khutkar of Talsai-Dharbandora complained that his father, Datta, was assaulted by 11 person on March 26. He has further stated that his father was threatened with dire consequences by the accused.

Queries with Ponda police on Monday revealed that no arrests have been made so far. The offence has been registered under Sections 143, 147, 323, 506(ii) read with 149 of Indian Penal Code.
