AAP Mandrem in-charge Prasad Shahapurkar has claimed that 16 posts are vacant in the Pernem Mamlatdar’s office and demanded that they be filled immediately.
He was speaking to reports on the eve of the government’s Sarkar Tumchya Daari (government at your doorstep) event, scheduled to take place at Korgao-Pernem on Friday.
“At present, the Pernem Mamlatdar’s office does not have a head clerk, which has been vacant since August 31 following the retirement of the then head clerk.”
“Besides, the posts of inspectors (2), talathis (4), clerks (5) and peons (4) are also lying vacant,” said Shahapurkar.
“These posts needs to be filled immediately so that efficient services are provided to the people of Pernem taluka.”
He also demanded that the existing government staff need to be better be disciplined and efficient in their work.
