16th Finance Commission: Public inputs sought on State draft

The Finance Department has urged the general public to submit their suggestions for inclusion in the State draft to be presented to the 16th Finance Commission. The deadline for submitting suggestions is April 26.

In a notification released on Tuesday, the department stated that this initiative is a crucial aspect of the consultative process as all inputs received from the people will be presented to the Commission for consideration in the memorandum.

“Pursuant to the constitution of the 16th Finance Commission by the President of India, this department, as a part of the consultative process, invites suggestions from the general public for providing inputs to the memorandum to be prepared by this department for placing the same before the 16th Finance Commission. The suggestions may be provided by April 26 on the Goa Budget website www.goabudget.in by clicking on the tab XVIth Finance Commission Suggestions,” reads the notification by Under Secretary (Finance Budget II) Pranab Bhat.
