17 in Mungul gang war case sent to jail

MARGAO: Seventeen accused in the Mungul gang war case were on Monday sent to judicial custody at Colvale jail. In a separate case, the court granted bail to Walter Fernandes, who had been arrested in a Rs 2 crore extortion case. Both cases are being investigated by Fatorda police.

PONDAAmid growing public concerns over stray dogs biting children in Ponda, the Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) has decided to initiate measures to address the issue by getting the stray dogs sterilised in the municipality.
