A 17-year-old boy was found dead in his rented room at Dias Wado, Nagoa-Bardez, on Wednesday. Preliminary police enquiries indicated that he was reportedly distressed over his relationship with a female friend.
According to Anjuna police, they received a call on October 14 reporting the alleged suicide at the teenager’s rented accommodation in Nagoa. A police team led by PSI Saish Shetgaonkar rushed to the spot, where the boy was found dead. The 108 ambulance service was called, and he was declared dead.
During preliminary enquiries, police learnt that the teenager worked at his family’s hair-cutting salon and was reportedly upset over his relationship with a female friend. Police inspected the scene and conducted an inquest panchanama. His family members have not suspected any foul play, police said.
An unnatural death case has been registered under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). The teenager was originally from Uttar Pradesh and lived with his family in Nagoa.
