Porvorim police arrested a youth for a motorcycle theft case after he had been absconding for six months. The case was registered on January 20.
Earlier, one accused, Lalit Vaingankar of Colvale, was arrested and two stolen motorcycles were recovered.
On June 20, police tracked down another accused, Bhuvan Tilakraj Pillay (19) of Peddem-Mapusa, at a Calangute guesthouse.
He was arrested with Calangute police’s help and booked under Section 303(2) of BNS, 2023. He has been remanded to 12 days’ judicial custody.
The investigation, led by PSI Arun Shirodkar, is ongoing under the supervision of PI Rahul Parab and SDPO DySP Vishwesh Karpe.
