MARGAO: The Colva police have registered an offense under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act against two persons for allegedly organising a bull fight at Betalbatim.
Police informed that the bull fight was organised on Thursday in an open field behind the Cemetery in Betalbatim, allegedly by Liyakat Ali Shaikh, resident of Margao and Conceico Rodrigues, a resident of Benaulim, between two bulls namely "Assam and Guzzur" respectively for the entertainment of the public in an open place with a public view and incited their bulls to fight with each other thereby subjecting them cruelty.
