Ahead of the International Day of Yoga on June 21, the Directorate of Education has directed all schools to register on the Ministry of Ayush portal and to participate in large numbers.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday chaired a review meeting at Mantralaya with the secretaries, Directorate of Health Services, Director of Ayush, and Yoga Samiti members to oversee preparations for Yoga Day. During the meeting, Sawant urged all to register at Yoga Sangam and join in building a “Swastha Goa, Sashakta Goa”.
Meanwhile, in a circular issued to all schools, the Director of Education said that the 11th International Day of Yoga 2025: Yoga for One Earth, One Health will be celebrated in a big way by organising more than one lakh yoga events from 6.30 am to 7.45 am across the nation under the Yoga Sangam event.
“All the Heads of Government/Government-aided/unaided/primary/secondary/higher secondary and special schools are hereby informed to create an event on the Ministry of Ayush portal [https://yoga.ayush.gov.in](https://yoga.ayush.gov.in) in the Yoga Sangam module and participate in large numbers in order to make the event a great success,” Director Shailesh Zingade said.
The schools are requested to make arrangements for the live telecast of the Prime Minister's address at each and every location where Yoga Day is held. “After the event, a brief report along with the photos is to be uploaded,” he said.
