In the other raid, an Anjuna police team led by Police Inspector Krishna Sinari raided a resort at Chinvar-Anjuna, where a fake call centre was in operation.
Police arrested 15 persons and seized mobile phones, laptops and other items worth approximately Rs 25 lakh.
According to sources, the accused used to contact American citizens and lure them with loans and instant cash, thereby cheating the unsuspecting American citizens with gift cards. Based on complaints received from foreign citizens, Calangute and Anjuna police carried out the raids. Police are conducting investigations in both cases.
