A female scooter rider and a child on the pillion were injured in a collision involving a truck and two two-wheelers in Nanus-Usgao on Monday morning.
The accident took place as one scooter was proceeding from Valpoi to Ponda, and while overtaking a truck at Nanus at about 7.30 am, an oncoming scooter hit the scooter with the woman and the child, and they rammed into the truck.
The injured were moved to the Piliem Primary Health Centre and later referred to the Goa Medical College and Hospital for further treatment.
According to locals, accidents have been on the rise along the Ganjem-Usgao road.
