A 32-year-old resident of Corlim died in a self accident on the Kadamba highway near Ferns Kadamaba hotel in the early hours of Tuesday.
According to Old Goa police, Gajanan Usgaonkar was travelling on his bike from Panaji towards Old Goa when the bike hit the divider and crashed, resulting in his death. The accident occurred at around 5.30 am.
The police further informed that the post-mortem was conducted and the body handed over to the family. The viscera has been preserved for further analysis.
Old Goa PSI Sudin Redkar is conducting further investigations in the matter.
In a tragic incident at Khandepar, a speeding mini tempo collided with a two-wheeler, resulting in severe injuries to the rider. The rider succumbed to the injuries while being taken to a hospital.
