The two minor boys from Socorro who were given a floor cleaner to consume by their mother on July 1 were discharged from GMC Hospital at Bambolim on Thursday.
However, the 26-year-old mother who had also consumed the floor cleaner is still undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Porvorim.
The doctors treating the woman have advised relatives that her mental condition is not good and after discharge, have recommended that she be referred for a psychiatric check.
Porvorim police have decided to refer the woman for a psychiatric evaluation.
Police have registered a case against the woman under Section 109 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 8(2) of the Goa Juvenile Act for allegedly trying to kill her two minor children by compelling them to consume poison.
