Police on Wednesday evening arrested two more suspects in connection with the murder of Ahmed Devadi (30) at Ganeshpuri, Mapusa.
The two accused, Narayan alias Babu Bhalekar (33) and Mutappa alias Sunny Nikode (34), who had been absconding after the murder, were arrested along the Maharashtra-Karnataka border.
Both were arrested by the Mapusa Police with the help of the Crime Branch.
On Thursday, the two suspects were produced before a Mapusa court and they were remanded to police custody for five days.
Police have arrested nine people in this case so far.
The incident had taken place on May 30 near a water tank in Ganeshpuri-Mapusa, when Ahmad Devadi and Sandesh Salkar were seriously injured in a murderous attack by the accused. Devadi died of injuries while undergoing treatment at the GMC hospital on June 18.
