2 more succumb to Covid, death toll @ 685

Goa's COVID-19 death toll rose by two to 685 even as 148 more people contracted the dreaded virus in the 24-hour reporting period of Wednesday-Thursday.

The mortality bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services reported that an "unidentified" 67-year-old man was among the two fatalities of the last 24 hours, the other being a 64-year-old lady from Sanquelim.

The DHS said the unidentified man who died at GMC was referred there from the Hospicio Hospital, Margao.

Meanwhile, the DHS bulletin said 111 people recovered, thus adding 34 more to the 'active' Covid-19 patients either undergoing treatment at hospitals or recovering by opting for home isolation.

Currently, 1,316 people are fighting their battle against the dreaded virus infection.
