Stating that there was no connection with the functioning of the government and the meeting with the BJP National General Secretary (organisation) B L Santosh, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said the discussions were about the party organisation and the strategy for the approaching election.
He also said the 2022 assembly election would be fought under his leadership.
“The elections are six months away and therefore, we discussed about the organisational set up and the strategy to be adopted for the election. There is no relation between the government and these meetings,” Sawant told some journalists.
He said the assembly election which was six months away will be held under his leadership.
“The BJP state president has said the election will be held under me and it will be that way,” he said.
He also said there were discussions on the ongoing Covid management.
