The second Mobile Food Testing Van of the FDA was launched at the hands of the dignitaries. The invocation song was presented by the students of Chubby cheeks school on the theme of respecting the farmers who grow millets.
FDA officials and the chef from Taj Vivanta Dwipen Goswami and his team and hygiene manager Dorothy Pereira were felicitated at the hands of the Health Minister for their excellent work in promoting millets.
Live demonstration on millets recipes, cooking competition for professional chefs on millets, workshop for self-help groups, supplying mid-day meals was organised.
The winner of cooking competition was Chef Denise Sequeira.
Debate on the topic of Food Safety Panorama of Goa was conducted by Prudent media.
More than twenty food stalls participated in the Eat Right Mela showcasing various Millet dishes and Goan traditional cuisine.
