River Navigation Department Minister Milind Naik on Monday afternoon said three new ferries have been added to the RND.
Naik was speaking to reporters after launching the development works in Ward 8 and 9 in Baina in the presence of Ward Councillors Murari Bandekar and Leo Rodrigues, as well as the residents.
"We have been pushing for improvement in the RND and three new ferries have been added to the department. One of the new ferries has been recently inaugurated Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in Panaji.”
“The second ferry was not inaugurated because of the pandemic and around 15 days ago, the second ferry was handed over to RND. These two new ferries helped a lot and proved to be an advantage during monsoons.”
“The third ferry will also be delivered in a few days and these ferries will help the RND," said Naik.
