4 boys arrested for kidnapping 3 minor girls

The three minor girls who had gone missing since Wednesday have been traced by the Maina-Curtorim police on Thursday.

The Maina-Curtorim police have arrested four of the accused boys, aged between 18-19 years for kidnapping, in connection with the case.

The police have said the three rescued girls have been sent for medical examination.

Maina-Curtorim police station in-charge, PI Arun Desai informed that the girls had gone missing from their respective residences on Wednesday. In this connection, he said a group of people, numbering around 50, from Nuvem had come to the police station demanding that the police trace the missing minor girls.

PI Arun informed that based on the CCTV footage, the police managed to arrest one of the boys, adding that the three others were later arrested in connection with the case.

He said the police have registered a case of kidnapping and under the provisions of the Goa Children’s Act against the four accused boys.

The police are further investigating.
