DMG invites tender bids for e-auction of minor minerals

PANAJI

The Directorate of Mines and Geology (DMG) has identified minor minerals including sand, worth Rs 63.35 lakhs, located at Borcottem of Collem village of Dharbandora taluka, for e-auction.

Following the directions from the Bombay High Court at Goa, the DMG has invited a tender to auction river boulders/pebble, gravel and sand.

The estimated quantity of river boulder, pebble and gravel is around 7449 cubic metres valued at Rs 52,14,300. The DMG has also listed 1,101 cubic metres of sand, worth Rs 13,21,200 for e-auction.

The minor minerals are located in survey No. 33/1 & 34/1 at Borcottem of Collem village of Dharbandora Taluka. The last date for submission of the bids is November 20.

This is for the first time that minor minerals are put up for e-auction. Sources said that this material was recovered during a raid.
