After the special camps held during the weekends, the total number of pending mutation cases in South Goa have now come down to 700, informed the South Goa Collector.
In fact, in what is seen as a significant achievement towards efficient revenue administration and time-bound delivery of public services, Joint Mamlatdars I, III and V of Salcete taluka have achieved zero pendency in online Form XIII mutation cases.
The offices have also been actively processing offline mutation cases. As per the available figures, 124 offline mutation cases remain pending across these three offices, comprising 68 cases with Joint Mamlatdar I, 40 cases with Joint Mamlatdar III and 16 cases with Joint Mamlatdar V.
Briefing the media, the district Collector informed that the pending offline cases are primarily at the procedural stage of service of notice. “Notices have already been issued, and the remaining steps involve completion of service, receipt of acknowledgements from the concerned parties, or, wherever required, substitute service and fulfilment of the prescribed procedural compliances,” she said.
She added: “The achievement of zero pendency in online Form XIII cases reflects the focused efforts of the concerned officers and staff. The Collectorate, South Goa District, continues to monitor mutation cases through special camps and regular reviews, with emphasis on completing the remaining procedural formalities and ensuring early disposal of offline cases as well.”
In Ponda taluka, the total number of pending cases has come down to 36, including one online case.
In Mormugao taluka, the Collector informed there is zero online pendency of cases in the taluka. “About 55 cases are now pending in the taluka, wherein the cases are pending because of various compliances. Around 10 files are pending since there are objections. The mamlatdars have to hear the matter as part of the court hearings, while notices are being issued in the remaining cases,” she added.
