60-year-old Balli woman dies of electrocution

In a tragic accident, a 60-year-old lady from Balli village was electrocuted to death after she came in contact with an overhead high-tension electricity wire when she had gone on the terrace to dry fish.

Cuncolim police informed that the incident occurred on Thursday morning at Haddem in Balli village when the deceased lady Chandravati Shaba Gaonkar had gone on the terrace to dry fish. She is believed to have come in contact with an overhead high-tension electricity wire and got electrocuted.

Cuncolim police informed that the post-mortem examination has certified the cause of death as due to electrocution. The body of the deceased woman was later handed over to her relatives to conduct the final rites.
