70-yr-old woman dies after falling into well in Verla

A 70-year-old woman died after falling into a well at Verla-Canca late Friday evening.

Vatsala Korgaonkar had fallen into the well near her house and when this incident came to light, family members notified the fire station.

Fire and emergency personnel went to the site and pulled her out, but she had drowned in the well.

Mapusa police conducted a panchnama and handed the body to family members after an autopsy on Saturday.
