Goa Forward Party chief Vijai Sardesai has called for an end to worker exploitation and has pushed for 80 per cent jobs for locals and regularisation of contract government employees.

While extending his solidarity with every individual contributing to the growth and development of Goa through hard work and dignity, Sardesai emphasised the need to end exploitation of workers and called for the regularisation of government contract workers, highlighting the insecurity faced by thousands of employees across sectors.

He further advocated for ensuring at least 80 per cent employment for Goans in the private sector, stressing that local youth must be prioritised in job opportunities.

Sardesai underlined that Goa’s progress is built on the strength of its workforce and reiterated the importance of protecting livelihoods, especially in the face of economic challenges and changing employment patterns.

“Behind every achievement is the effort, skill, and dignity of labour. It is our responsibility to safeguard and respect those who build our state every day,” he said.

Reaffirming his commitment to workers’ rights, Sardesai urged policymakers to adopt a more inclusive and people-centric approach that ensures fairness, job security, and dignity for all sections of the workforce.
