The Foreigners Regional Registration Office has deported nine overstaying foreign nationals so far this month, while a fresh enforcement drive at Mandrem found seven more foreigners illegally staying in the country.
A statement issued by FRRO Goa on Friday stated that the latest drive on May 15 detected five Russian nationals, one Ukrainian national and one South African national overstaying in India. Necessary legal action has been initiated against them.
It further said that nine foreign nationals deported this month included five Ugandan nationals, three Russian nationals and one Nigerian national. Proposals for blacklisting have also been initiated.
A total of 27 overstaying foreign nationals of various nationalities have exited the country from January 2026. During 2025, the agency deported or facilitated the exit of 120 overstaying foreign nationals, including 29 Bangladeshi nationals.
FRRO Goa also advised hotel owners, guest house operators, homestay providers and landlords to ensure timely submission of C-Forms/Form III for foreign nationals staying at their premises, warning that delays or failure in reporting could attract legal action.
