In a tragic incident, a 70-year old woman from Fatorda died after a lift crashed on her on Thursday night.
Inquiries by the Colva police revealed informed that the deceased lady had come to meet her friend at Colva. Police alleged that the deceased lady opened the lift gate and entered inside before the lift reached the floor as a result of which lift came down and crashed on her.
After the deceased was stuck inside, she was removed out with the help of fire brigade staff and locals.
She was shifted to South Goa District Hospital Margao for medical treatment through ambulance 108 wherein the lady was declared brought dead.
