A day later, more resignations in Sanguem, Quepem-Curchorem

Angered with the removal of RSS Goa Sangh chief Subhash Velingkar from his post, over 200 RSS volunteers from Sanguem and over 50 office bearers from Quepem-Curchorem area resigned from their posts.

Speaking to The Goan, Vinay Naik, Sanguem taluka RSS leader, said their fight was to protect their mother tongue and culture. “Our demand was to stop aid/grants to English medium primary schools,” he said and added that they will stand with Velingkar over the MOI issue.  
“The move to remove Velingkar from his post is very dirty and we will find who is behind this political move. After hearing about this decision, about 200 RSS volunteers and office bearers from Sanguem taluka resigned from their posts.”  
When contacted, Curchorem RSS leader Rudresh Pawaskar said over 50 RSS office bearers resigned from their posts.
