On Gandhi Jayanti, AAP Goa’s Benaulim youth unit took a step to empower youth to self-reliance. The workshop is being taken on skill development, how to take interviews and how to manage a career in the hospitality industry, according to a press note.
In the press note, AAP states that around 100 youth from the Benaulim constituency attended the event. The event was addressed by AAP National Executive Member and Goa Vice President Capt Venzy Viegas and the youth received guidance from AAP Youth Wing National Vice President Cecille Rodrigues.
The sitting Benaulim ZP member Hanzel Fernandes, Benaulim Youth General Secretary Adv Lancy Rodrigues were also present, states the press note.
“Mahatma Gandhi said that you must be the change you want to see in the world. Keeping these words in mind today without a single MLA we are working to provide adequate guidance from professionals to our youth. Once we come to power in Goa, these workshops and guidances will be worked into the education curriculum and inculcated into the school and college day to day functioning,” stated AAP National Executive Member and Goa Vice President Capt Venzy Viegas.
“On Gandhi Jayanti we decided to hold this initiative as the youth team of Benaulim, as we found that many youth needed guidance, guidance that has not been given so far in formal education,” stated Hanzel Fernandes, AAP Goa Youth General Secretary.
“Career guidance for youth is very important. The turnout speaks volumes of how youth need the AAP model in Goa. We need to work together to empower our youth strongly,” added Cecille Rodrigues, AAP Youth Wing National Vice President.
