Altinho to be beautified under Panaji Smart City mission

The State government plans to beautify Altinho area in Panaji as part of the Smart City mission.

The State Urban Development Agency on behalf of the Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL) has invited a tender to select an agency for landscaping of open spaces at Altinho Neighbourhood Greens.

There are also plans to develop green spaces near the Government Quarters in Altinho.

Works under the Smart City mission have stepped up with the new MD Ravi Dhavan and many new projects are being taken up.

The road in Mala and D B Bandodkar road will be hotmixed under the mission.

The State government has designated IPSCDL, a wholly owned government agency and Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of the government as the State Mission Directorate for AMRUT and State Level Nodal Agency and the State Mission Management Unit for Smart Cities Mission. The IPSCDL has been formed to bring about the development of smart urban infrastructural facilities/projects for Panaji City.

The Capital City is one of the 100 smart cities across the country under the Government of India scheme.
