“A surgical strike is carried out when the enemy is well identified and then attacked… something that the army carried out recently. But what we have seen here is the carpet bombing of the country where the good and the bad are all killed in the strike,” AAP’s Panaji candidate Valmiki Naik said at a press conference.
Naik also questioned the BJP’s intentions of tackling the black money issue. “The biggest black money is in politics. Let the BJP explain what has happened to the case of Babush Monserrate when he was caught at the Mumbai airport attempting to take money out of the country. Manohar Parrikar was the chief minister of the state,” Naik asked.
He also demanded that the BJP come clean with its accounts and its funding pattern saying that the BJP and the Congress together receive the largest donations from unknown sources and are resisting transparency in their accounts.
“The AAP is the only party that has shown accountability and is willing to be brought under the Right to Information Act. The BJP and the Congress came together to pass a law that political parties do not come under the purview of the RTI Act,” Naik said, adding that theirs was the only party whose funding was in ‘white money.’
