The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has extended its support to villagers opposing the proposed IIT project in Codar-Bethora.

AAP Goa President Amit Palekar along with Surel Tilve and AAP leaders interacted with villagers in Bethora and assured them that AAP would ensure that no project that would destroy the village is set up in Codar.

“There will be attempts to politicise this issue, and there will be attempts to divide the people and break the movement. But if the village remains united, then no movement will fail,” said Palekar.

“The AAP will fully stand behind the villagers of Codar and Bethora,” he added.
