The Aam Aadmi Party will adopt a zero tolerance policy to garbage and will build public toilets to ensure that no one defecates in the open in Tivim.

In its manifesto released on Wednesday, the Delhi party also promises to revive the now dilapidated Forte Novo de Tivim and turn it into a tourist spot with self-employment opportunities, besides tackling a host of other issues in the village.

The manifesto was released by a senior citizen from Tivim in the presence of AAP candidate of Tivim, Pradeep Gadi Amonkar, AAP state treasurer, Rahul Mhambrey and party coordinator Francis Fernandes.

According to Amonkar’s manifesto, AAP will organise periodic health drives and awareness programmes especially for the elderly, women and children. “AAP government will ensure that bus services in Tivim connect the innermost areas to the highways and to Mapsua city,” Amonkar said.

He said the Tivim-Colvale link road will be widened and footpaths will be created on many stretches on a war-footing. The manifesto also focuses on improving existing power infrastructure in the constituency to ensure better power supply.
