Stating that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will never form an alliance with the Congress, AAP National Convenor and former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday hit out at the BJP and Congress by claiming that they are in an alliance in the State.
Kejriwal also claimed that the AAP government would be firmly established in the State in 2027.
He was addressing a gathering after inaugurating the AAP office in Mayem in the presence of former Delhi chief minister Atishi, Benaulim AAP MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas, AAP Goa President Amit Palekar and other party leaders.
“The BJP formed the government by colluding with Congress MLAs. Both parties are in an alliance in Goa and this collusion is exploiting Goa. Raise your voice, and you face threats,” said Kejriwal.
“In the next election, we must change the system, not just the party. All parties are the same; the system must change.”
Kejriwal also stated that the image and development of Goa have been tarnished due to gangsters and goondas.
Slamming family politics in Goa, Kejriwal said 13-15 families have been dominating politics in the State.
“This time, the system must change. People, not families, should control Goa’s resources,” said Kejriwal.
“I am confident that the AAP would form a government in Goa in 2027 which will provide relief to the common people, just as the Aam Aadmi Party ran the government on the basis of the Delhi pattern.”
Turning his attention to Mayem constituency, Kejriwal said BJP MLAs had been representing Mayem for the last 25 years. “They should tell us how much development they have done and how many jobs they have provided to locals,” said Kejriwal. “The AAP office is being opened in Mayem to address issues of the common man. Special health clinics will soon be set up in Mayem and the facility to distribute free medicines will be extended here.”
