AAP Goa convener Rahul Mhambre said the party is gaining in strength every day as can be gauged by the response to the ‘Veez Andolan’ by the people every day.
He pointed out that he went to 86-year-old Francis Gomes house during the Veez Andolan programme at Tivim only to return with a cheque of Rs 2,000 that he got as a donation to the party.
Similarly at Cumbarjua, lemons from a tree in the backyard of a local were given to AAP spokesperson Melissa Simoes.
“Besides people living near the venue of the meeting ask AAP volunteers to have tea and snacks at their house,” he said.
Rahul said all these are manifestations of AAP’s growing popularity and indication that Goans are ready to vote for AAP at the elections in 2022.
“AAP’s ground volunteers have been consistently hitting ground through Veez Andolan, and recent performance of AAP in ZP elections is an indicator of ground work done by AAP through Veez Andolan. It has becoming more and more successful in touching the hearts of Goans. Donation from ‘Francis Gomes’ to AAP is a perfect example of resonating effect of AAP’s ground efforts.”
“I would like to thank Francis Gomes. We are hopeful that more and more people will come forward to support and join honest politics of AAP like Francis Gomes. Indeed it is very motivating for all of us,” said Rahul Mhambre.
