Accused in kidnap of minor from Mumbai held in Vasco

Vasco police on Thursday arrested a 29-year-old man who was wanted in connection with the kidnap of a minor in Mumbai. According to sources, a 13-year-old girl was kidnapped and an offence in this regard was registered at the Malvani Police station on January 4.

"The person who had allegedly kidnapped the girl was 29-year-old Gulab Khan, a native of Bihar. The Mumbai police began the investigation and started to track them down. The location of the kidnapper indicated that he was in Vasco and the Mumbai police contacted the Vasco police station on Wednesday night about the case.”

“Vasco PSI Rohan Nageshkar immediately formed a team and nabbed the kidnapper along with the victim girl from Vasco city. While the accused was arrested, the minor girl was rescued and sent to Apna Ghar. The Vasco police later informed the Malvani police at Mumbai about the breakthrough and the Mumbai police reached the Vasco police station on Thursday and will take custody of the accused," said the source.
