The SDM’s directions come against the backdrop of the complaint lodged by the residents of Fatorda under the leadership of Adv Pritam Moraes, demanding permanent resident ID cards for the residents staying around the Nehru stadium.
It has been the contention of the residents that they are put to severe hardships and inconveniences in times of sporting events, including the ISL football matches at the Nehru stadium on grounds that these events hamper and restrict their movement along the roads.
Given that the authorities were slow in issuing the resident passes during the ongoing India Super League matches, the residents led by Adv Moraes had knocked the doors of the SDM, demanding his immediate intervention and solve their perennial problems connected to
the stadium.
