OLD GOA
AAP leader Prof Ramrao Wagh has sought action from authorities concerned over illegal road construction, deliberate forest fires and other illegalities in Mandur comunidade properties and private forests.
In this connection, Wagh has complained to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Revenue Minister, Forest Minister, St Andre MLA, Director of Panchayats, North Collector, Tiswadi Mamlatdar, Administrator of Comunidades and Azossim-Mandur sarpanch.
In his complaint, Wagh has pointed out that illegalities have been carried out in various properties that have been sold to builders as well as in the adjacent Mandur comunidade property.
He has further sought a thorough investigation to find out the culprits who are behind damaging the flora and fauna of the area.
Further, Wagh has listed the incidents which needed to be investigated.
Among them included the recent fire incident which was reported in the Mandur comunidade property bearing survey number 58/1 and an adjacent private property, due to which more than 100 trees were destroyed.
Further, he has pointed out the incidence of encroachment of a vast comunidade land of Mandur in survey number 45 to build a road of around 15 metres.
Wagh has also referred to the tweet of the revenue minister in which he had pointed out how a private forest land in Azossim was fraudulently converted for the purpose of a housing project of around 300 plots.
In this instance, Wagh has pointed out that his complaints against the project were overlooked by various authorities to allow illegalities by the developer to continue.
Citing another incident of dumping of heavy chemical storage tanks and disposal of garbage in Mandur and Azossim comunidade properties, Wagh has lamented that no action was taken in the instance despite him complaining about the activity and highlighting the same in the media.
