Canacona-based activist Shubham Komarpant has threatened to launch a protest from October 12 if the lift serving over 120 dialysis patients and their families visiting the Canacona Community Health Centre (CHC) is not repaired.
In a letter to the Canacona Deputy Collector, Komarpant stated that the lift used by dialysis patients and their families had been non-functional for the past six months.
“It has been nearly six months since the lift at CHC Canacona stopped working, and the authorities are least bothered despite repeated requests and follow-ups. We now have no option left, so we are beginning the agitation/strike,” Komarpant said.
