Admissions to a three-year degree course in culinary management slated to begin in June have been opened at the Kamaxi College of Culinary Arts (KCCA).

The College is affiliated to Goa University which has approved the degree programme. The college is in its second academic year and students who enrolled last year have already begun their end of the first-year internship.

Students who have passed their Class XII with English as one of the subjects are eligible for admission.

Created for aspirants in culinary management, the programme is designed by experts and features in-depth industry knowledge and skillsets, business education and advanced food production.

KCCA is the State's only culinary school offering a three-year degree programme and has French Master Chef and Maître Cuisinier de France Patrick Albert on its faculty team as Head Chef.

The college also offers students internship opportunities in the United States, Japan and Germany besides Indian hospitality establishments.

The on-campus degree programme is also endorsed by the Tourism and Hospitality Sector Skill Council and the college has forged a collaboration with Goa-based leading Indian B-School, the Goa Institute of Management (GIM) to create an incubation programme in the culinary business.

According to KCCA chairman, Parixit Pai Fondekar, the course prepares students to deal with challenges, explore opportunities and also create niche segments of their own.
