PANAJI: The State Government has promotedPublic Prosecutor Poonam Bharne to the postof Director of Prosecution
Adv Bharne joinedas Assistant PP in 1996 and was promoted toPP in 2004. She handled various cases in theNDPS Court, Prevention of Corruption Act Court,Children's Court, and Sessions Court in Mapusaand Panaji among others.
Her promotion orderon December 29 was based on the recommendation of the Department of Promotion Board ofGoa Public Service Commission to promote herto the post which falls in the 'A Gazetted' Group.
