The two constables who frequently fight in the police quarters where they reside in Porvorim have been issued an advisory by Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Shekhar Prabhudesai to avoid squabbling and ensure peace in the locality.
Police constables Dilip Mutkunde alias Dilipnageshrao M Chandraiah (attached to Traffic Cell) and Poice constable Jairam Parsekar (of the escort cell) are neighbours in Porvorim and quarrel frequently. Several complains and counters have been filed by them against each other.
Videos of their quarrels and physical assault that took place on June 9 had also gone viral on social media.
Prabhudesai took cognizance of the issue and called the families of both constables to the police headquarters and advised them not to fight.
They have been advised to redress their grievances before the concerned police inspector.
Prabhudesai has also warned them that they should not give any opportunity to initiate action if they are found disturbing the tranquility in the residential area.
The SP also said that the video going viral of fight between two police constables has tarnished the image of Police force.
